What does "veg*n" mean?
It's the short way of saying "vegetarian and/or vegan." The asterisk is used as a wildcard to replace the "etaria" in "vegetarian" and the "a" in "vegan." It can also be written as "veg*an" since they both have a's (but then the asterisk isn't replacing anything in "vegan"). Some people don't like to use this term since by definition vegans ARE vegetarians, so the word vegetarian means the same thing. However, a lot of people mean "ovo-lacto vegetarian" (someone who consumes eggs and milk but no meat) when they say vegetarian, so veg*n can be more inclusive.
